Jay Martin appointed President of RFS Australia
Colombes (France), December 1st, 2011 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, today announced the appointment of broadcast industry veteran, Jay Martin, as President of RFS Australia. In addition to responsibility for RFS’ Australian operations, Martin will also be responsible for RFS Broadcast globally.
Jay Martin brings more than 30 years of experience and a stellar reputation in the broadcast industry to his new role. Over the course of his career at TV station WLBZ-TV, Shively Laboratories, Dielectric Communications and RFS, Martin has combined his engineering background and strong relationship skills in progressively senior roles to earn the respect of broadcasters, telecom operators and industry colleagues. In his most recent role at RFS, Martin served as Sales Director for Broadcast and Defense Systems for the Americas with additional responsibility for in-building communications solutions.
Welcoming Martin to his new role, RFS President Stéphane Klajzyngier noted his deep experience and industry insight. “Jay Martin is one of the most respected managers in the broadcast industry. Taking the direction of RFS Broadcast, he brings both the experience and vision necessary to consolidate RFS' leadership in the years to come,” he said.

After building RFS’ credibility in the North American broadcast market, Martin says he’s excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate RFS’ long-term commitment to serving the needs of broadcasters globally. “We’re very optimistic about the North American broadcast market and will continue to develop the products to support North American broadcasters as they deal with spectral repacking and make the move to mobile broadcasting. At the same time, we’ll be taking greater advantage of the design expertise we have in Australia to bring the next generation of innovations to broadcasters around the world. Jay Martin received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) from the University of Maine at Orono, and an MBA from Husson University in Bangor, Maine. He is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and The Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE).
Martin officially begins his new responsibilities in Australia on December 1, 2011. He succeeds Martyn Kemel who is leaving RFS to pursue other interests.
