New ‘built-for-broadcast’ HELIFLEX™ Lite connectors
On the occasion of IBC2009 (RAI, Amsterdam, September 11-15, 2009), Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, will present its brand new HELIFLEX Lite range of connectors for premium broadcast solutions.
The easy-to-install connectors are available for RFS' proven, high-power HELIFLEX® Cable family. The new HELIFLEX Lite range will carry a competitive market price for 7/8" through 6 1/8" EIA-sizes, with outstanding electrical performance.
HELIFLEX Lite connectors are characterized by excellent mechanical integrity, extremely low losses, and offer an attractive price entry point and performance combination to support the ramp up of next generation digital broadcast services in Europe and across the globe.
Like all RFS premium connectors, HELIFLEX Lite range has excellent electrical specifications and will provide outstanding and long-life performance, but their design has been conceived specifically for the high power requirements of the most demanding broadcast applications.
"How could you do better than state of the art designs of a complete new connector line for cable brought to you by the world's oldest and most experienced cable experts?", said Martyn Kemel, President, Broadcast and Defense Systems at RFS.
The connector range is one of two new broadcast products that will be presented in Amsterdam alongside RFS' industry-leading portfolio, which is backed by the company's dedicated and fully-operational broadcast antenna assembly facility in Haddenham in the UK.
The result is the most comprehensive end-to-end broadcast RF solution-set in Europe, comprising a full suite of antennas for digital television (DTV) and Mobile TV broadcasting, plus combiners, filters, transmission line, and switch-frames with digital monitoring options.
"As in every other sector of the communications industry, RFS seeks out new ways to bring price and performance together for its customers. HELIFLEX Lite connector line does just that." added Kemel.
RFS' specialists on hand at the IBC 2009 conference & exhibition include Martyn Kemel (President, Broadcast and Defense Systems), Mick Bennett (Global Product Manager Broadcast and Defense), Hans-Peter Quade (Area Product Manager Broadcast and Defense, EMAI) and Eric Mariette (VP Global Marketing and Strategy).
