Online help for RFS RPE-Viewer

 

RFS RPE-Viewer is a software tool to print out radiating pattern envelopes (RPE) for microwave antennas provided by Radio Frequency Systems.

 

The latest version of the Java runtime library must be installed in order to run the program.

 

The program has the following structure.

 

 

Procedure

 

  1. Start the program in Windows.

 

  1. Select FILE in the menu bar at top of main screen.
    A submenu appears with following items:
    OPEN
    ADD
    SAVE
    PRINT
    EXIT

 

  1. Select OPEN to open a datafile.
    A second window is opened in which you select the datafile or navigate through the directory structure until you reach the folder with the required datafile.

 

  1. After selecting the datafile the RPE will be shown in the main window.

 

  1. Select ADD in the File menu to add a data file of another antenna or specification for an overlay display.

  2. Select SAVE in the FILE menu to open another window in which you input the necessary details to save the displayed RPE as a pdf file.

 

  1. Select PRINT in the FILE menu to open a new window and select and configure a printer.

 

  1. Select EXIT in the FILE menu to close the program.

 

  1. Select INFO in the HELP menu to display a window with information about the RFS RPE-Viewer version number.

 

  1. Select ONLINE HELP in the HELP menu to show this window.

 

  1. Select + to zoom into the graphic by factor 1.25. This function effects only the graphic on the screen and does not change the scale of a paper print.

 

  1. Select – to zoom out of the graphic by factor 1.25. This function effect only the graphic on the screen and does not change the scale of a paper print.
