NGV-662 Series
High-band VHF Broadband Panel Antennas for NextGen-TV Networks. Elliptically or Circularly Polarized.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The 662 series antennas are ideal for multi-channel Next Generation TV networks. These antennas are typically deployed at SFN sites that surround the main transmission site in a NextGen-TV single frequency network (SFN). The 662 series antennas provide both top-mounted and side-mounted solutions.
The high-power rating and broadband performance allow multiple channels to be transmitted from an SFN site, thus reducing capital costs and providing consistent coverage across channels. Elliptical or circular polarization is available for improved transmission to portable and indoor devices.
The 662-SBL (Suppressed Back Lobe) series are designed to reduce radiation in the rear direction to minimize interference to adjacent services. For difficult network planning scenarios, these antennas will enable the network designer to meet the FCC requirements without resorting to large reductions in radiated power.
A wide range of radiation patterns are available. The RFS Antenna Selection Tool contains pattern data for all 662 antenna models and works alongside modern SFN planning tools to help you choose the right NextGen antenna for each SFN site. To download, click here
FEATURES / BENEFITS
- Broadband performance from CH7-13 for multi-channel SFN networks allows SFN infrastructure sharing and reduces overall CAPEX.
- Broadband elliptical or circular polarization performance – improves signal penetration and network performance.
- Polarization ratio can be customized to any value from 0% to 100%. MIMO option is also available.
- Radiation patterns with reduced back-radiation are available (C270-SBL and C560-SBL models) for SFN sites requiring interference mitigation.

Notes
Note 1: Other numbers of bays available on request. Contact RFS or consult the RFS Antenna Analysis and Selection Tool
Note 2: Data shown is for side-mounted antennas. Contact RFS if the location is in a high wind area
Note 3: Effective area calculation is based on subcritical flow condition to TIA-222-G
- Tower shielding of 70% is assumed for rear panels and feed network. Contact RFS or a qualified Structural Engineer if it applies to your site.
Note 4: Gain is for the horizontal component of polarization. When calculating ERP, actual TPO delivered to the horizontal polarization should be considered based on the specified V/H polarization ratio.
Note 5: Antenna weight takes into consideration components for 100% V/H ratio (Full CP) with equal power divider network. Please consult RFS for updated values regarding other polarisation ratios
Note 6: Single Bay version not available for C270-SBL and C560-SBL models.
