A new era for lifetime connectivity

As the year draws to a close, it is the perfect time to reflect on an exciting, productive year for RFS.
Flexibility and Innovation
Telecom and broadcast markets are central to RFS, with 2024 seeing us continue to work with some of the world’s biggest operators and ICT system providers, delivering the quality we are known for. Innovation is at the heart of these projects. More often than not, we tailor existing products to give a bespoke, perfect-fit solution, proving that FLEX is not just in products and trademarks but the company’s DNA.
Serving new industries
In addition, we are now serving customers in a broader range of industries than ever before. Those operating warehouses, wind farms, manufacturing facilities, mines, and managing transportation infrastructure, to name a few.
We have focused on understanding the challenges they face and being the expert partner they need to deploy infrastructure designed for the future. Our ethos is ‘Lifetime Connectivity,’ and that is what we strive to achieve – adaptable solutions that can cope with changing standards and requirements and offer years, if not decades, of reliable communication.
New relationships, new offerings
Another stand out of 2024 is our new and fledgling relationship with YOFC, which took over as our new parent company in Q1 of this year. It rang in positive changes for RFS and an opportunity to use YOFC’s optical fiber solutions to build even more complete bundles for our customers.
Its optical fiber sensing solutions have many applications across industry. From supporting predictive maintenance of wind turbine blades to giving full visibility of infrastructure repair needs in hard-to-monitor buildings, it is a true ‘problem solver’ product that we are pleased to offer.
New initiatives for climate ambition
Despite the seismic changes in RFS this year, we have not forgotten our ongoing commitment to reducing the impact of our company on the environment. Our climate ambition initiatives remain critical to the mission of the business.
A highlight has been the installation of solar panels at the Suzhou factory. Covering the 16,000 square meters of roof space, it will save an estimated 1346 Tons of CO2 annually. It is one of numerous projects that show commitment to our environmental pledge that will continue in 2025.

As we have rung in the changes at RFS, it has been fantastic to see the team's vision for embracing evolution. We are still growing into our new position and establishing in new industries, but the new era for RFS has begun, and we are looking forward to a prosperous and productive 2025.
