Radio Frequency Systems, a specialist in the design and manufacture of premium, future-ready cable solutions, today announced the opening of its latest burn chamber at its Hannover Factory. This is part of its ongoing focus on delivering fire-resistant cable around the globe.

The new burn chamber extends RFS's testing capabilities and operates in accordance with the international standard EN50399 which refers to the important CPR (Construction Product Regulation) directive of the European Union. Combined with existing fire testing facilities, it gives RFS one of the most comprehensive in-house fire resistance testing capabilities of any organization in the cable space. This will allow RFS to continue offering solutions that meet fire safety standards worldwide.

Ekkehard Schomburg, Managing Director, RFS GmbH commented, “Fire-resistant cable is essential across numerous sectors as part of stringent safety regulation. We are delighted to see the new burn chamber at our Hannover site in operation as a key part of our ongoing strategy around CPR and fire safety. On-site access to testing allows us to focus on both maintaining standards and driving innovation. At RFS, we are committed to investing in facilities that allow us to be at the forefront of designing, testing, and, importantly, supplying best-in-class cable to our customers.”
