RFS makes a 7-figure investment in North American operations
Meriden, CT USA, March 11, 2021 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), a global designer and manufacturer of wireless and broadcast infrastructure, announces a 7-figure investment at its manufacturing facility in Connecticut to support growing demand for its HYBRIFLEX riser and jumper cables, that combine DC power and optical fiber in a single cable to reduce installation time, costs and complexity
RFS has recently invested in the latest state-of-the-art cable manufacturing equipment, which has been custom made to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity at the manufacturing facility. Prompted by a need to significantly increase production capability, flexibility, and capacity to meet customer demand, the investment has enabled RFS to react even more swiftly to requests for new designs and prototypes. This has reduced new product development lead time by an average of 25%, while doubling production capacity for bulk cables.
Customers in the region have shown an increasing demand for RFS’s HYBRIFLEX fiber and power solutions for 4G, 5G and beyond. By expanding US operations, RFS is set to serve the US market throughout the evolution to 5G. With investment in cutting edge manufacturing equipment, alongside a strong commitment to R&D, RFS is able to deliver quickly to both new and legacy customers, with tailored solutions that help to solve some of the biggest challenges they face when it comes to infrastructure installation.
